I think everything in the article is true. It seemed to use neutral terminology in saying “some see this as..” and then provided quotes as examples.

Looks to me like “fake” in this case really means “not the political emphasis I’d like to see”. That’s not fake. You want to argue it was slanted? Ok. I can certainly see how it looks that way to you. But I didn’t see anything I’d characterize as false.
