You seem to be saying that any reporting of the opposition viewpoint (meaning opposed to the Admin) is "fake news". That I agree with - "fake news" really has nothing to do with accuracy; it has everything to do with what the Trump Admin wants to see reported.

You don't even claim that they ignore the concept of these being illegal immigrants, you just think that should be a bigger part of the story. Moreover, if you scroll down just a bit, they linked the recent NewsHour interview with Mark Morgan, where he answered these very concerns (that's where you saw the part of the article that you evidently didn't think was slanted). I saw it and thought he did a commendable job against questioning from Amna Nawaz that did, in truth, betray her evident sympathy for the immigrants. While if I were critiquing NewsHour I'd suggest somebody else do that interview, the result was an impassioned, clear, well stated rebuttal from Morgan. And the article both summarizes it and links the entire thing for you if you'd like to see it.

So an opposing view of all this was presented right there, plain as day. But you are correct that the subject of the article was the left's fears about a revival of family separation, which the left opposes in all immigrants, legal or illegal.

That's not "fake", and its not a false narrative. It's the real narrative of the left's views of Trump's policies. With reference to an interview from the ICE Acting Director presenting the other view - the admin's view.

It is further evidence that many consider any reporting that does not comport with the "narrative" they prefer to be false or invalid. But the reality is that there are multiple points of view on this, and reporting on one of those views - in this case the opposition view - is not false or fake. Particularly when it makes such prominent reference to the other side's viewpoint.
