It means false, and there is nothing false in the article, which makes clear that the subject is that prominent people fear a return to family separations. The subject itself makes it politically slanted, by definition, since it is reporting that point of view. It is represented as a point of view held by some, not a "narrative" with no alternative viewpoints. In fact it linked you right to this interview you are now complimenting.

This is my concern. "Fake news" is just a meme. It doesn't mean what the words themselves actually translate to. It is just a means to try to dismiss something. It is the companion to that other meme, " Enemy of the People".

Yet this and the other reporting are having the effect that proponents of the 1st amendment envision. Action taking place, migrants being moved from overcrowded facilities, and a bill in Congress to fix the funding shortfall (which is by no means assured to pass, maybe over dem fears that the money will be used for other things. Thwarting it would be a political shitstorm for the dems).

That's exactly what the 1st amendment is supposed to do, and we should all (FOX critics too) stop taking it for granted.
