My last word: The supposed bias of the press is 3 things to me: (1) way less of a departure from the past than our nostalgic minds want us to think, (2) not the impediment to the functioning of the 1A that many "enemy of the people" advocates try to claim, and (3) much more indicative of the extreme bias of the accusers than of the accused (the press) - when a message doesn't comport to their politics, they call it "bias". The accusers themselves are also the main reason outlets have no commercial choice but to serve an echo chamber to some extent. Otherwise, you have no market.

We get the media we demand, and then complain about it when it doesn't say exactly what we want to see.
