You are not wrong...he needs to gain traction in one of the Dems most

reliable demographics. Some issues with the South Bend Police Dept do not help. If he does get the nomination and receives some key endorsements from leaders he may be able to overcome this somewhat. The fact that he is a viable candidate shows that we have come a long way in equality for LGBTQ people...but the headwinds also show there is still some resistance.
