Really. Politics is such a strange game.

So, we have universal agreement (exaggerating for effect) on the physical infrastructure bill. But since we have far from universal agreement on the reconciliation bill, if that persists, we get nothing. Not even the things about which we all agree.

I mean, in most settings, I think we call that childishness.

Reminds me of a clip from Meet The Press this week. Cory Booker asked the same question. Booker said “we didn’t ask FDR to pass his agenda piecemeal did we!?!”

To which Chuck Todd said “uh yes, yes we did. Piecemeal is exactly how FDR passed his agenda”.

Booker made like he didn’t hear him.
