That’s the rub. I think doing nothing at all dooms the dems in this

Cycle. And at the risk of sounding alarmist to Trumpies, given repub efforts to undermine our entire democratic infrastructure, I fear it could be permanent.

I wouldn’t want the dems to do that either. But right now, it’s the Repubs trying to destroy public faith in our elections. I fear that the dems are about to provide them with a huge assist.

Politics IMO makes us abandon reason at times. The mom who needs child care is still better off if her town bridge does not collapse, even if her child care is still a problem.

If my fears are realized, and this entire package collapses with nothing passed, then nobody is helped. Makes no difference if it is mostly Manchin’s or AOC’s fault.
