Like I said, the outcome was probably fair from what I know.

Others could disagree, but that is my opinion. Could the police have handled it better? Sure. Did the cop commit a crime? No, in my opinion.

There is a lot of "notoriety" because African Americans have been treated unequally by law enforcement for decades. How much? We don't know, but history can't be ignored.

No one is condoning criminal activity. However, we're asking cops to not stoop to their level. That's part of their job. That doesn't mean all cops are bad. It's quite the opposite. However, we can't ignore the unfair treatment of African Americans by law enforcement ... especially because of the undeniable history. You might think it's unfair, but that's the burden of cynicism we must carry due to history ... at least for some period of time.
