The cases that the BLM (and its predecessor movements) choose as their

examples of excessive force sometimes leave me scratching my head. People rioted over a 6'4" 300 lb black man who was shot while physically assaulting a police officer in Ferguson Missouri, and yet you didn't hear much at all about the suspect in South Carolina who was shot in the back while running away from an officer and it was all caught on tape.

The George Floyd death was one where the outrage was at least aligned with an egregious overuse of police force (not that rioting was justified, but the anger certainly was)

I've said this before, but I think if we want to solve the problem of police violence against blacks, we need to address the problem of police violence against all citizens, which FAR exceeds that of any other developed nation. The problem isn't that police shoot too many black people, it's that they shoot too many people period.

We need far better training, stricter rules of engagement/use of force, and better screening to weed out the meatheads from the police force. As an example, someone like YOU shouldn't be anywhere near a gun and a badge, but sadly I think we do have too many people like you among the ranks of police officers.... and they harm the reputation of majority of officers that are good and decent public servants.
