To make qualification based solely on race is the definition of racism. I

agree completely that this accusation is not just a tad overused, but massively overused, and with most of what you say here, but if this doesn't qualify as "the definition of racism", I'm not sure what ever could. Certainly not comments about one specific judge of Mexican descent wouldn't anyway. Nor comments about folks that dare to think the Lee statues should stay.

A plan can be very well intentioned, trying to make up for past discrepancies, etc. but that doesn't make it not racist. And just FTR I'm actually mostly supportive of affirmative action steps in the past (despite their being racist), even if I think this one is patently absurd and based on mostly false premises.
