While I don't agree it would take me hours to offer a similarly well stated argument.

I'd set a wage; you cola it like social security and you have a policy that holds for the next 50 years instead of one where the battle in re fought every 5 years.

Doubling every 20 years is ridiculous policy. It's hard enough to run a business without arbitrarily timing this sort of change.
