What is the reason for the disparity?

For instance, I'm looking for a pet sitter for my not so little Great Dane. I'm using Care.com to find someone. Can anyone tell me why there is a availability gap between men and women on the website? I'd say 98% of the people I'm looking at are women. Hardly any men at all. How come?

Could it be that men must find full time work and women have the advantage of being able to find part time work. One of the girls I'm messaging is 27 years old and a stay at home Mom. She has had Mastiffs in the past, so she is a good candidate.

Where are the stay at home Dad's? Can't find any.

Could it be that men and women have different choices.
