proposing ownership of the means of production by the government. But he is saying that he doesn't believe there should be billionaires (personally I think a lot of them are corrupt but I'm content with taxing them more and reducing their influence not eliminating them entirely). He is saying that government should require corporations to have workers on their boards (which is a good idea that some companies already do but I don't think government should require it). He is proposing free college (which some states are thinking about already but also including vocational education; at the national level I question it).

Medicare for all might actually work (as Boca cogently pointed out below) and we may actually get there at some point Bern or no Bern, and IMO this is where most people get confused. If you ask them if Medicare for all is socialist they might say yes, whether they're for or against it. But if you ask them specifics about premiums, out of pocket expenses, pre-existing conditions, etc, they actually come pretty close to Bernie's proposals. Are they socialists? No. Will the label stick particularly since the GOP will use it and Bernie doesn't shy away from it? Yes.

Might as well not sweat it. ;)
