That’s a different point. Saying no one making


less than $400k will see a tax increase with the comeback being “well if a hedge fund guy’s wife continues to teach kindergarten, she’ll see a tax increase and she makes under $400k” seems weak. The household makes over $400k. When talking tax policy it’s the filer (individual, married) that matters… not the individual pay split within a household.


The argument that $400k/$450k isn’t rich in high cost areas is different and I don’t disagree with you.
