Instead of watching some modern TV show, I've been binge-watching Dragnet

After watching it, I believe it should be mandatory viewing for modern citizens. Okay, that is a bit of an exaggeration, but I digress...

I am amazed at how effectively a 50-year old show extols the virtues of police work while simultaneously holding the police force to the highest moral standards. It is something we all need to be reminded of, no matter what side of the line we are on. We citizens must insist that the standards presented on the show are met throughout the country. We also must respect and honor the badge because it is only through that badge that law and order are enforced.
