"The investigation is not about Trump. It is about national security." And

"Trump changed the narrative to be about him"? Because "he's unpatriotic"? You have got to be kidding! This is like the ridiculous claims we saw trying to say Trump was the one that changed the message to "collusion".

It never ceases to amaze me what those wanting only to hate Trump will convince themselves is reality. Talk about needing to question one's psychological makeup. Have we forgotten that the core reason for the Mueller investigation is whether there was collusion with Russia? That it was triggered by Trump's firing of Comey thus opening the door to possible obstruction charges to "get Trump"? Now it may indeed turn up evidence of collusion or obstruction when it's done, so that investigation should continue, but there has been virtually no evidence of either shown yet, so it's perfectly valid to expect Mueller & Co. to show fruits of their labor at some point to justify their continuing and keeping this cloud of innuendo and baseless claims over the administration forever. This investigation is all about Trump (and those around him acting on his behalf), nothing else. So to try and change the narrative to "it's just about National security" is patently absurd, only exceeded by trying to blame Trump for changing that narrative to what it really is.

But that's how the fake, err I mean biased media plays right into the hands of those always in search of reasons to hate Trump no matter what reality actually is. Be it that he's anti-immigrant (ignoring the illegal part), flip flops on NoKo with criticism regardless of whether the meeting is on or off, the "crumbs" and lack of honesty on all aspects the tax cut plan, not just how it's a "giveaway to the rich", or even your inauguration example. Some how they convinced you tht Trump "didn't hesitate to compromise his press sec's and his own integrity insisting that his inaugural crowd was bigger than O's" and turned "alternative facts" into a code word for "lies". Here's what Spicer actually said "This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration -- period -- both in person and around the globe. " Around the globe, that is not the inaugural crowd. And btw that would be an actual fact wrt viewership, not an "alternative" one as you guys code that. Oh, and how quickly we forget (or ignore) how that was not to "push his narcissism" but rather in response to the media's actual "fake" statements by using photos from different times and ignoring the increased security that delayed entry in '16 vs '08. As well as on the heels of their tweeting a photo with an actual fake claim that Trump had removed the MLK statue.

The crowd or viewership size wasn't even the point to Spicer's aggressive presser, and he said as much "There's been a lot of talk in the media about the responsibility to hold Donald Trump accountable. And I'm here to tell you that it goes two ways. We're going to hold the press accountable, as well. The American people deserve better." The "fake news" was not going to be left alone to just carry on with the false narratives as they have in the past without push back. And the fact that objective people, not just wanting to see reason to hate Trump, can see this type of nonsense being pulled by the media, is why that "fake news" narrative is sticking so well.

Like Spicey was trying to tell them, "do better media". Maybe those so desperate for reasons to hate Trump should too.
