Fake news: "that Trump is anti-immigrant (ignoring the illegal part)"

Wut.

I am so tired of people trying to say that Trump is only against illegal immigration.

Trump constantly talks about wanting to end "chain migration" and the visa lottery.

In 2017, the Trump admin only allowed 53,716 refugees, less than half of the "cap" of 110,000 for the year that had been set by Obama. Trump then reduced the 2018 cap to 45,000, the lowest since the program started in 1980. Through the first 9 months of the fiscal year, we're on track to actually accept fewer than 22,000 refugees for 2018.

The Trump admin has ended Temporary Protected Status to over 300,000 people from El Salvador, Haiti, Nicaragua, Sudan, and Honduras.

All iterations of the travel ban reduced legal immigration.

The Trump admin recently enacted policy that no longer allows for gang violence or domestic violence to be considered ground for asylum.

Trump ended DACA (at least until the courts intervened).

Green card issuances are down (9% Q1 2018, 11% in Q3 2017, can't find Q4 2017).

All of these are reductions to legal immigration.

The media isn't telling us that Trump is anti-immigrant. FACTS tell us that Trump is anti-immigrant - both legal and illegal.
