I used do deal with Canadians fairly often...so this is anecdotal, but

during the time of the ACA being adopted I talked to some of my Canuck friends about Healthcare.
They basically said if you were involved in a car wreck, had a heart attack, or some other life threatening trauma the care was good. Where their system was inferior was in the elective and quality of life care. One guy had been waiting on a hip replacement for 2 years. He limped around while on some sort of waiting list. Anyway...we may end up with single payer. It has pros and cons. The UMC and Wealthy will probably gravitate to boutique care.
