No, the ACA was not "always a step toward the ultimate goal, gov healthcare." That is downright laughable. It was the Dems refusing to try single payer or even a public or publicly-funded (but privately administered) insurance option and settling on a market-based solution that still achieved universal coverage. That was all it was, and your conspiracy theory just smacks of bald ignorance.

Two, "gov healthcare" and "single payer" are entirely different concepts. I don't think anyone has ever so much as suggested "gov healthcare" as a system in the United States outside the VA. Single payer, OTOH, is what we have had for seniors for three generations now. Expanding that out to cover everyone really shouldn't be that controversial and would make a lot more sense than relying on dozens of private insurance providers regulated by 50 different states, each with its own bureaucratic hell of paperwork, policies, and other morass.

Three, your point about "freedom" is just plain stupid. Giving people access to healthcare through a better infrastructure and taxing our citizens to pay for it is only "manipulated control" or an affront on "freedom" in the looniest of loony bins. The other word for it is a public program. You know, like fucking roads, schools, post offices, or that military that you love so much. Jesus Christ, hoothat.
