Thanks! Good article and maybe that's what KC was referring to in terms

of problems at the Fed level. Not sure how or why the Trump administration would stop Medicare and Medicaid payouts as long as they're still meeting the same requirements as now (yes I guess you could worry about petty vindictiveness, but I'm not sure that worry is valid). And yes, that does better explain why the "passed on it", but funding was certainly part of the issue as to why it was tabled. Even the supporters acknowledged tabling it was the right move.

What surprises me is that 70% of their entire healthcare spending is covered by Medicare or Medicaid. (I would never have guessed that high) And it would still take a 2.3% gross receipts (and sales) tax to cover that 30% not already paid by Govco. 2.3% of gross receipts on Facebook, Apple, the rest of Silicon Valley, Hollywood, and on and on is far from chump change.

But it sounds like it's not dead yet, and more like they just need to do better homework, so like I said, I sincerely hope they can make it happen and they can prove me and all the single payer naysayers wrong.
