Maybe after getting to the income that covers themselves, the marginal rate could actually taper down to zero. Someone will have to pay for those stuck permanently at low wage jobs, where people are seeing no real increase in pay, year over year. If the 1 and 5 per centers keep getting a bigger piece of the pie, as they (we) have over the last few decades, something has to give.
