Yes, like I said I wasn't seeing the connection here with childcare workers
and I think we often see H-1B thrown out there as a catch-all when H-2B and other visas are the actual applicable ones. Pretty sure my dad (and us) was brought here on an H-1B, or whatever the equivalent was back in the late 60's. It is not a cheap or easy process for the sponsoring Co., although I guess those computer programming providers that have figured out how to dominate the visas allocated have found a way to streamline that process. As I understood it, that is one of the big problems with the H-1B system, a few companies eat up all the allowed visas making it much more difficult for other employers, and those not in computer programming fields, to get those visas. On that aspect, I (and Trump, Tom Cotton, and others) agree with Amy that we probably need to look at how to increase those numbers.
