First I'd like a cite but that is probably consistent with the number I read, 82% of Bernie primary voters voted for Clinton. So let's assume it's valid.
Can you think of why that might be? A hint: Bernie outperformed the field in NH the other day among "White Male High School Educated". Just cleaned everybody's clock. Now--Bernie's socialism has a direct potential positive wallet impact for those guys. But Hillary didn't do anything for them, anything to try to woo them. Even Barack with his "guns and religion" line showed a rare lack of political grace, towards this demographic.
It is not a surprise that there was some defection in this demographic. These are people that are only drawn into our tent by somebody they perceive as real and on their side. Rather than blaming Bernie for them not sticking around after he lost, we might better try to emulate his appeal to them, to keep them around this time. Who, though, is doing that besides Bernie and to a lesser extent Warren?
