I know this much about the state of Virginia, specifically, as it applied

to UE because of direct conversations with a couple of employees at
my Job who did get laid off. The standard to show that you were actively
looking for work was waived in March and theory was that they wanted
to try and unburden businesses who might get flooded with application/interview
requests that were only legitimate in that the Unemployed person wanted
to satisfy a quota to maintain benefits.
