In your example that only applies to the extent that somebody chooses to

live in rural America. I'd also say ... the road system is what it is and people drive through rural America to transit urban centers all the time --- not to mention how much do you think it costs per mile of NYC streets to do repairs? Howbout compared to bumfuck West Texas?

Either way ... it's not 100% within your control where you live, work, etc -- you're born where you're born and you go where life takes you.

You can decide to order a salad instead of a triple cheeseburger.
