I would like medical prcedure pricing to be more transparent but same rate

for same product seems to be a bit odd. Some provider will be better at a product than other, they should be allowed to charge more for it. But I do think much of healthcare cost has been driven up due to consumer has no idea how much any procedure cost and will just take whatever is recommended by doctors, who also don't have any idea the true cost of the procedure after all the negotiation with the insurance company. My ideal has been government provide preventative, wellness, and catastrophic care. And have some incentive for consumer to shop and choose what care/procedure they want.
