Speaking of administrative costs... I know of a hospital CEO who recently

received a ~$1 mil bonus while nurses took a pay cut. That, despite all sorts of decisions making life harder on the providers at said hospital.

People tend to focus scorn on insurers and providers, but rarely are dysfunctional / power tripping hospital administrators discussed.
