I asked because it's hard to tell what exactly you ARE arguing.
You seem to be doing something I've seen over and over again from hive-minded righties though: dismiss the obvious source of the problem (that while all countries have angry, depressed, neglected, violent, crazy people, we make it a cinch for ours to get an arsenal of killing machines and, lo and behold, these people get those killing machines and slaughter people with them) and state your position around some squishy, impossible-to-solve, nothing we can do about it because its too complicated, philosophical problem that "the family unit is broken" (or something similar). Concluding, of course, that we're already defeated and there is nothing we can do about recurring mass shooting incidents so why bother and, of course, why make it harder for good, law abiding citizens to load up on their own killing machines?
Dont mean that as a direct attack on you -- Im sure you have heard or read this in your orbit of right wing, pro-gun sources and are more or less repeating it -- but I do find it an insidious obstruction tactic.
Would add that most mass shootings have been carried out by grown men, most of whom were batshit crazy or had displayed violent tendencies in the past, so I dont think there is much merit to your neglected or bullied kids theory. In fact, I would bet my life savings that bullying, etc. was far more prevalent among past generations than current ones.
Really the issue is simple: we allow easy access to firearms and just about anyone can get one. Including raging psychos. There is a pretty simple solution to that problem -- the one you and others insist would never work. My opinion anyways.
