We get the government we settle for, and not necessarily the one deserved.

I think that our history shows that change comes from the people and not the leaders. If we become politically active to the point of insistence, redistricting would become a reality, and good sound constitutional policy would follow. I know this sounds trite but our form of government works best based on civic involvement. We can bitch about whatever we believe to be wrong but most us of fail to realize that the capability to change it lies with us.
