I gotta disagree here RQ. There is a huge difference between a President


taking limited actions like the removal of bin Laden or even drone strikes (though those raise their own set of moral and ethical questions), and committing the US to continual military intervention in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, etc. I think Bush exceeded his authority in Iraq, essentially getting us pregnant first, before getting the war authorization from Congress. However, at least there was some authorization. Likewise, I think Obama exceeded his authority in bombing Libya and committing advisors to Syria.

Yes, I know that the Congress has a hard time getting it's act together. But suppose the presidents in these cases avoided the Iraq war or the Libya and Syria interventions? Would we be worse off? I don't think so.
