Not sure we're very far apart here, Seattle.

If we're going to invade a country and take out its government, then "own it" until it is rebuilt, I agree (although I still think Congress is worthless and would find a way to make the wrong decision, just like they did in 2003). However, I don't think we could ever rely on the stuffed shirts on the hill when there is a hot target we need to take out or the opportunity is missed in the fight against ISIS/terrorism. If we had a chance to take out ISIS's leadership I would hope the executive could make the call just like they did with Bin Laden. If we knew North Korea were fueling missiles to launch at Seattle and San Fran and had a chance to take them out in advance, I'd say make the call.

Yes, that is an awesome responsibility which is why I'm so deeply troubled having an unworthy pile of feces like Donald Trump in that chair.
