None of that's actually happening. Virtually every democrat called for

Northam to resign over his blackface picture from 1984 - blackface: not ok. Same holds true for the other two Va pols caught up in it - so much that many people of all political persuasions are questioning just how intolerant society needs to be of youthful mistakes on the order of yearbook pictures.

Many, I suspect most, dems are calling for Fairfax to resign now just based on accusations, and all of them are calling for an investigation - sexual assault: not ok.

Jussie Smollet is ruined. Career over. And the legal ramifications for filing a false report, maybe other crimes if the "hit" he took out on himself can be proven, are still to come. The Chicago authorities won't walk away from it. So there are, and will most definitely continue to be ramifications. I'm pretty sure the next insecure celeb looking for sympathy and publicity will think twice about using the Smollet method - it doesn't seem to be working out too well for him.
