Sexual assault is not forgivable, because that's a violent act with a

Victim. The only reset we need there is the saying needs to be "accusers should always be taken seriously and accorded respect and dignity" , rather than "women should always be believed".

Kids who are not true bigots sometimes get caught up in peer pressure and the heat of the moment. And true bigots can learn and grow and as a result become great leaders and policy makers - better than those who didn't travel that path. So I don't agree with you there. Look at each case on its merits, and the reason I probably would have trouble supporting Northam was his terrible fumbling of his response, and his iffy mea culpa - that does raise concerns about his current persona.
