Maybe, but it will be a result of his being forgiven for his transgression.

This is a very serious one if true, so I think the odds are stacked against him. I suppose there are cards he could play to salvage something of his career, but this story will always dominate his legacy, assuming he doesn't become the answer to a trivia question and nothing more in the very near future. It will never be an indication that drumming up false assault and battery allegations and filing false police reports is ok.

I suspect answer to trivia question is the likeliest outcome.
