Bullshit. Complete and total partisan "woe are repubs" bullshit.

Man are Trumpies and repubs snowflakes of the highest order.

Every dem in Virginia and pretty much every one nationally (except for Obama ironically, who has remained silent) immediately called for Northam to step down. I'm not aware of any who've changed that view since Fairfax landed in hot water - and for allegations that will end him if proven. I just googled it and as recently as Feb 7 a bunch of congressional dems called for Northam's head.

You are a living testament in this thread to the effectiveness of echo chambers, both in thinking there is any tolerance on the dem side for blackface or sexual assault, or in thinking there is some horrible partisan tendency by dems over repubs to factor in realpolitik. Moore in Alabama - many repubs overlooked the allegations about his character because they wanted to keep the seat - most in the state from how close the election was - but not all. Trump - the Christian Right overlooks all the scandals because he's the scumbag doing their bidding.

That's politics. It's not new, and if anything, dems nationally are breaking their backs to not appear to put realpolitik above sensitivity to these accusations.
