in this thread. It takes remarkable anti-dem bias to somehow see dems being more forgiving of their own than repubs for things like sexual assault or blackface. They were almost completely united in their calls for Northam to step down. Most didn't even care what he had to say in his own defense. And in their calls for Fairfax to at least be investigated, if not step down immediately. That was true when fellow dems drove Franken from the senate, and it's true now. Or that they're more likely than repubs to place realpolitik above these things - seems to me they have shown themselves to be far less likely. IMO to a fault.

No less true because Northam and Fairfax are defending themselves and refusing to give in.
