Hence why I made the comment about fungible. But as I understood it, that
only applied to Riverside's increase, and didn't explain the full increase, nor did it apply to the other hospital systems that also saw these costs increase, but at a lesser rate.
Regardless, back to the main point, weren't we told that one of the main benefits to ACA was to have everyone insured so that they would be able to use cheaper providers than ER's and less free riders would have to be added to hospital charges? Could you point us to the studies showing that has actually happened? Otherwise, it's hardly "tangential".
