Sen Paul is a gadfly and complicit with his tax cut vote. However, is also
isn't wrong about this spending bill. One thing I've always liked about Rand and his father is that they have the balls to call a spade a spade when it comes to defense spending particularly. From the Washington Post; Then Paul launched into a lengthy floor speech deriding bipartisan complicity on deficit spending while the country goes “on and on and on, finding new wars to fight that make no sense.” What I would like to see now is the clueless Congress start exercising its war powers; you know, something it hasn't really done in about 40 years. Instead, of course, they gave the military even more money than was being asked for by Trump.
For his part the little autocrat wanna-be in the White House issued this incredible Tweet. “Just signed Bill. Our Military will now be stronger than ever before. We love and need our Military and gave them everything — and more. First time this has happened in a long time. Also means JOBS, JOBS, JOBS!” We gave them EVERYTHING (including development of more nukes) and we are providing JOBS! WTF? It's like we're living in 1958.
