Have not seen any scientific studies, but I think I'd be more apt to
remember accurately a person who physically assaulted me than a perpetrator of any other crime that I might witness or been party to, wouldn't you?
I think you are misinterpreting the "believe women" thing. I think that is a function of at least a couple of things. One, why would a woman want to put herself through the humiliation and personal attacks that come when one goes public about a sexual assault, especially by a high profile person. And two, there is a long history of NOT believing women, of dismissing such claims, of even punishing the accuser, especially when the assaulter is a high profile person.
