Well said and much better than I wrt Garland. I Stand with Notorious RBG in
believing this process has gotten beyond absurd. If they're qualified and there is no disqualifying reasons, vote like we did in the day of RBG and everybody else before Bork. I have zero reason not to think Garland would've and should've sailed through under that basis. Just as Kavanaugh should now from what we've seen thus far. I think that's exactly why that spineless POS Mitch went full spineless. He knew actually doing what he's supposed to do would only lead to either a) the GOP being painted as petty, deceitful and unfair as the Dems look here, or b) Garland getting voted in, as he probably should've been.
I understand what you're saying about the FBI background investigation. But as I understand it, they've already done that 6 times, including the most thorough for this nomination. And Feinstein turned over the letter to them for that very reason. And they quickly said it did not merit further or reopening that background check. It's a stall and fire up the base tactic, nothing more, nothing less.
