What set this off? I haven't seen a "believe women" mantra. Are you
referring to something specific? An article, or someone's speech?
Unless you can show me what I'm missing, I am not gleaning "believe women" or "believe accusers" mantras from any of this. One commentator on the NewsHour (a woman herself FWIW) discussed similarities and differences between this situation and Anita Hill's - her point was the differences are starker, and among others, she said on one hand, the accusations against Kavanaugh are much more serious than those against Thomas, but on the other, Hill had all sorts of corroboration, whereas Ford does not. That doesn't sound like an adherent to the "believe women" mantra. Or the "believe accusers" mantra.
I've seen dems call for an investigation (on background) by the FBI - also doesn't sound like a "believe {insert group}" mantra.
Is it that you think wanting Ford to have the oppty to testify if she chooses means she is believed before she opens her mouth? I don't understand where you're getting all this.
